PORTLAND, Ore. – Three Lewis & Clark College women's tennis players earned spots on the 2026 All-Northwest Conference Team, the league office announced last week.
Senior
Susanna Anand earned first-team honors in both singles and doubles, junior
Emma Loucks joined her on the first-team doubles, and junior
Charlotte Makoni was selected to the third-team singles.
Anand, a senior from Troutdale, Oregon, competed at No. 1 singles throughout the dual season and finished 17-3 overall, including a 13-2 mark in dual matches and an 11-2 record in Northwest Conference play. She was ranked as high as No. 15 in the West Region for singles play this spring.
The honor marks Anand's third consecutive first-team singles selection and fourth straight All-NWC recognition, following a second-team singles selection and NWC Rookie of the Year honors in 2023. The 2026 selection places Anand among the conference's three-time first-team All-NWC honorees, a group that includes former Lewis & Clark standouts Aurora Garrison (2013, 2015, 2016) and Amalia Nilsson (2008-11).
Anand earned first-team doubles honors after splitting time with two partners at No. 1. She opened the spring alongside Makoni before pairing with Loucks in the second half of the schedule. The Anand-Loucks tandem finished 5-2 in dual matches, all against Northwest Conference opponents.
Loucks, a junior from Vancouver, Washington, earned her first All-NWC honor. She went 10-12 in doubles and 9-9 in dual singles action across all three lineup spots, including a 7-7 record in Northwest Conference play. Loucks posted a 5-2 record at No. 1 doubles and a 2-1 mark at No. 3.
Makoni, a junior from East Palo Alto, California, earned third-team singles honors after finishing 11-13 overall while competing at No. 1 and No. 2. She posted a 9-9 record in dual matches and a 6-8 mark in conference play. Makoni went 2-1 at No. 1 and recorded seven wins at No. 2.
Lewis & Clark finished the season 11-7 overall and 9-5 in Northwest Conference play to earn the No. 3 seed in the NWC Tournament.
