MONMOUTH, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College women's track & field posted six top-10 finishes on Day Two of the John Knight Twilight Meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Six different River Otters finished in the top-10 and two others posted top-50 marks in program history, on the second and final day at Western Oregon University.
Senior
Emogene Lutz led a quartet of Lewis & Clark runners in the 5K. She crossed the line in 5
th out of 26 competitors with a season-best time of 20:05.33. Sophomore
Talia Tomhave came across in 20:32.00 to place ninth overall. Senior
Ali Kerschner notched a PR time of 20:40.18 to finish in 12
th place. First year
Tesla Curtis (21:21.80) and junior
Mackenzie Olver (21:24.38) finished back-to-back in 17
th and 18
th overall.

Elsie Chin paced a trio of River Otters in the 400M. Chin came across in a season-best time of 59.31 to finish in ninth place. Junior
Callow Soto added a 10
th-place showing, when she posted a time of 59.73. Senior
AJ Schroeder clocked a season-best time of 1:11.43 to place 37
th.

Malia Heien added the final top-10 finish of the day on the track. Heien recorded a season-best time of 2:17.25 to finish 10
th out of 68 competitors. Senior
Miriam Reside placed 27
th overall with a time of 2:26.08. Junior
Maeva Conroy (2:40.40), Tomhave (2:40.57 – season-best) and first year
Katherine Scannell (2:40.84 – PR) finished back-to-back in 50
th, 51
st and 52
nd places. Kerschner registered a mark of 2:52.15 to finish in 63
rd place.

Divinity Singleton led the team's field athletes on Saturday with the River Otters' lone top-10 showing.
Singleton finished eighth out of 43 throwers in the shot put. She launched the implement 11.56M (37-11.25 Feet). First year
Ky Roussin placed 16
th overall with a mark of 10.53M (34-06.75 Feet). Senior
Nia Pile recorded a toss of 9.77M (32-00.75 Feet) to finish 23
rd. First year
Lillian Morlan came in just behind Pile in 24
thwith a throw of 9.69M (31-09.50 Feet).
Junior
Lillian Besa led five Lewis & Clark throwers in the discus. Besa finished 12
th out of 43 throwers with a heave of 33.89M (111-02 Feet). Senior
Reilyn Sabado recorded a PR throw of 33.07M (108-06 Feet) to place 15
th. Roussin launched the discus 28.11M (92-02 Feet) to finish in 29
th. Morlan placed 31
st with a toss of 27.54M (90-04 Feet). Singleton ended the event in 35
th place with a throw of 25.83M (84-09 Feet).
Junior
Rose Dinh and senior
Anli Davis represented Lewis & Clark in the long jump. Dinh finished in 16
th place with a leap of 4.97M (16-03.75 Feet). Davis launched herself 4.41M (14-05.75 Feet) to come in 31
st place.
Dinh also led a trio of River Otters in the 100M Hurdles. She finished in 19
th place with a time of 16.79. Junior
Carolyn Mayberry crossed the line in 17.17 to place 20
th. First year
Sofia Figueroa added a PR time of 17.59 to finish in 22
nd.
Scannell represented Lewis & Clark in the 3,000M Steeplechase. The first year posted a time of 13:46.97 to finish 15
th overall.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Heien moved up to 83rd in NCAA DIII in the 800M with her season-best time (2:17.25). She owns the program record in the event with a time of 2:11.17.
- Sabado's PR in the discus (33.07M) pushed her up to 19th all-time in program history.
- Heien ranks second in the NWC this season in the 800M (2:17.25). She also owns the top time in the 1,500M (4:45.61).
- Figueroa now sits 38th in program history in the 100M Hurdles (17.59).
- Chin's time in the 400M moved her up to fifth in the Northwest Conference.
WHAT'S NEXT
Lewis & Clark will host the L&C Larry Byerly Invite on Friday and Saturday in their final tune-up before the 2026 Northwest Conference Championship Meet. Friday's portion of the meet will be hosted at Linfield University and be comprised solely of field events. Saturday's meet will be hosted at the Eldon and
David Fix Track on campus and also serve as Lewis & Clark's Senior Day.
