MOLALLA, Wash.—Lewis & Clark College women's golf dominated the field on Day One of the George Fox Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Three River Otters sit atop the individual standings and women's golf opened up a 22-stroke lead on second-place Pacific Lutheran University after the opening 18 holes.

Ahika Jani paced the field with a round of 77 (+5) to edge a pair of teammates.
First year
Kimber Yoder (78, +6) and sophomore
Evie Denton (79, +7) sit just behind Jani in second and third overall.

Darwyn Kormany finished fourth on the scoring roster with a score of 87 (+15). She is in 11
th overall after Day One.
Sophomore
Natalie Nuñez Lezama placed fifth on the scoring roster on Monday. She posted a 95 (+23) to finish in a tie for 19
th.

Julia Klenk led the River Otters three indies. Klenk carded an 82 (+10) to finish Monday in a tie for fifth overall.

Lydia Schwenker ended the day in a tie for 12
th place. She posted a score of 88 (+16).
Sophomore
Lauren Raitanen made her second appearance of the Spring Season on Monday. She finished the round with a 109 (+37) to place 27
th overall.
BY THE NUMBERS

Women's Golf will look to win their first stroke play tournament since September 29-30, 2018 on Tuesday. The River Otters defeated six others teams to win the Puget Sound Invitational that Fall. Tee times for Tuesday have not been released yet.
