Ahika Jani earned a spot on the Northwest Conference First Team for a second-straight year, the NWC office announced at the conclusion of Monday's NWC Championship Tournament.Ā

Jani is the lone returner from last year's NWC First Team - after finishing in the top-10 of all three NWC events during the 2025-26 academic year. She is the first River Otter to be named to the NWC First Team multiple times since at least 2010.

The sophomore finished in a tie for second place at the NWC Fall Classic (159, +13). In early April, Jani won the NWC Classic by four strokes with a score of 147 (+3). Jani placed seventh overall this weekend at the NWC Championship with a score of 158 (+16).Ā
Ā
She accumulated 10.5 points for the NWC Fall Classic, 12 points for the NWC Spring Classic and 12 points this past weekend at the NWC Championship for a season total of 34.5 points. Jani placed second for NWC Player of the Year, behind Pacific's Bead Boonta who finished with 38.5 points. The NWC All-Conference Teams and Player of the Year award are determined by finish at each NWC event, with the final NWC Championship Tournament counting for double points.
Ā
Jani became the first Lewis & Clark women's player to win an NWC event since L&C Hall of Famer Mari (Kotake) Rayner won the 2001 NWC Fall Classic and 2002 NWC Championship. The sophomore finished the year with the lowest scoring average by a River Otter since at least 2016-17 and potentially in program history. She averaged 76.9 per round (+5) and notched a pair of par or better rounds. The sophomore won four of her 10 events, placed top-five five times and earned a spot in the top-10 seven times.Ā
Ā
She posted the lowest round of her collegiate career on October 4, when she shot a 70 (-1) in the first round at the Pacific Invitational. Jani recorded the lowest tournament score of her career at the NWC Spring Classic when she finished with a 147 (+3).Ā
