Junior earned his third career NWC weekly honor.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Lewis & Clark College men's tennis junior Noah Sutin earned Northwest Conference Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week honors, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

The honor marks the third of Sutin's career. He previously earned the award twice as a first-year.

Sutin went 4-0 across doubles and singles in the River Otters' weekend matches against Puget Sound and Willamette. On Saturday against the Loggers, he and senior Kai Wills defeated Jason Rowe and Jackson Stumpf 6-3 in doubles. Sutin then earned a three-set singles victory over Stumpf, 6-7 (3), 6-4, 1-0 (10-6).

On Sunday against the Bearcats, Sutin and Wills posted a 6-2 doubles win over AJ Avansino and Hudson Snyder. Sutin then competed at No. 1 singles for the first time in NWC play this season, defeating Avansino 6-4, 7-5.

Sutin has won five straight matches and is 9-1 in conference singles play with 13 total wins this season. He and Wills are 7-2 in NWC doubles and have combined for 11 victories this year.

Lewis & Clark returns to action Thursday when it hosts the University of California, Santa Cruz, in a non-conference match at 4 p.m. at the L&C Tennis Dome.
