HILLSBORO, Ore.—After helping lead Lewis & Clark football to a Homecoming win on Saturday, senior Devon Guest and sophomore Thien Hoang were named the Northwest Conference Offensive and Special Teams Student-Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Guest put together the best game of his collegiate career to earn his first career NWC weekly award. Hoang picks up his first award of the season and third NWC student-athlete recognition of his career.

Guest recorded the third-most receiving yards in program history on Saturday. The fifth-year senior posted new career-highs with eight catches, 236 yards and three touchdowns. He notched touchdown catches of eight, 49 and 89 yards and added four catches for first downs. Guest's 236 yards are the most by a receiver in the NWC this season and the eighth-most by a receiver in DIII this season. The fifth-year senior ranks in the top-100 in DIII in receiving touchdowns (6 – 39th), receiving yards per game (81.7 – 59th), total touchdowns (7 – 74th) and receptions per game (5.3 – 88th). Guest enters this week's game with 147 career catches, 1,906 yards and 18 receiving touchdowns.

Hoang earned his first weekly award of the season after posting a career-high 15 points on Saturday. The sophomore went 3-3 on field goals and hit all six of his point-after-attempts. He connected on field goals from 27, 33 and 42 yards out – including hitting the 42-yard field goal as time expired in the first half. Hoang is a perfect 7-7 on field goals this season and 21-21 on PATs. His 45 points this season are tied for the seventh-most by a Pioneers kicker in a single-season. For his career, Hoang went over 100 points on Saturday and now ranks third all-time with 113 career points. He is five points (118) away from tying the program record for career points and two field goals (18) away from tying the career record for made field goals.
