PORTLAND, Ore. - After poor weather hit the Portland area over the weekend, the Lewis & Clark women's golf team was forced to cancel the remainder of the Pioneer Invitational at Heron Lakes. The Pioneers end the tournament in second place with a 336.
Whitworth ends the invite in first place with a 328, while Pacific Lutheran finishes in third with a 344. Linfield ended in fourth place with a 361, while Willamette finished fifth with a 378 and Pacific rounded out the group with a 451.
Arielle Valdez was the Pioneers top finisher with an 82, which put her in sixth place. Claire Burke ended the invite with an 84 (tied-9th), while Sofia Vigil and Abbi Rautenberg finished tied for 11th place with 85's.
Katie Ochoa of Whitworth led the group with a 79, while Chelsea Bayley (Whitworth) finished in second with an 80 and LettaJoe Gallup (Willamette), Maggie Harlow (Linfield) and Madeline Rice (Linfield) all finished in third with an 81.
