HILLSBORO, Ore.—For the second time in his collegiate career, Lewis & Clark College men's golf junior Joonho Moon earned Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week honors, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.

Moon put together one of the best performances of his career on Monday and Tuesday at the Pacific Lutheran University Invitational. The junior placed tied for second overall and was in contention to win the overall title for all 36 holes.

On Monday, he shot a career-best round of 67 (-5). The junior notched six birdies and just one bogey in the best round by any player in the tournament. He tacked on four birdies on Tuesday to finish with a 74 (+2). Moon closed out the tournament with a 141 (-3).

His round of 67 (-5) is tied with former teammate Charlie Hageman for the best round by a Lewis & Clark men's golfer in the past 10 seasons. Moon (2x) and Hageman are also the only players to record a two-round tournament score of -3 at a 36-hole tournament since the 2016-17 season.

Through the first two events of the season, Moon has posted an average of 71.20 (-1) across five rounds. He has notched the two best rounds on the team (-5 and -4) and has finished in the top-15 in both events.

Lewis & Clark will return to action on Sunday, when they open up the Northwest Conference Fall Classic. The tournament will be hosted by Pacific University at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club.
