HILLSBORO, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College men's golf junior
Luke Blankinship was named to the Northwest Conference Third Team All-Conference Team on Monday, the conference office announced at the conclusion of the NWC Championship Tournament.
It's the first career NWC All-Conference honors of his career and the second time he has been named to an All-Conference Team. As a first year at Macalaster College, he was selected to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Honorable Mention All-Conference Team.
Blankinship earned the award after finishing in a tie for fifth place at the NWC Championship Tournament. He posted rounds of 72 (+1) and 71 (Even) to finish with a two-day score of 143 (+1). His tied for fifth finish tied his best career showing at an NWC Event (2025 NWC Spring Classic) and earned him 15.5 points in the season standings. The NWC All-Conference Teams are determined by finish at each NWC event with the final NWC Championship Tournament counting for double points.
The junior finished second on the team with his 73.43 round average (+2) in 21 rounds this season. Blankinship posted three top-5 finishes and five top-10 showings in 10 events. He recorded a season-low round of 69 (-3) on Day One of the Pines Cup and posted his best tournament score at the Pacific Invitational in the Fall (141, -1).
