HOW IT HAPPENED

Micaiah Garan continued to be an elite performer for the River Otters. The senior goalie put together an outstanding performance despite allowing two goals. The keeper pulled off a string of spectacular denials and finished the game with five saves.

Senior Zidane Indarta came off the bench for the River Otters and played 13 minutes. With four minutes left in the game, Indarta posted his first shot on goal of the season with a low shot to the right-side of the net.

Linfield's Beckham Poirot and Oli Gaines each scored within a 15-minute span early in the second half. Poirot made it 1-0 in the 53rd minute and Gaines extended the lead to 2-0 in the 69th.

In the first half, Lewis & Clark recorded two shots. Senior Dylan Weinstein missed to the left in the 15th minute, and junior Sam London produced the only shot on goal in the half. In the 41st minute, the junior fired a shot low to the left-side of the goal - forcing Linfield keeper Colby Reese to make the save.

Lewis & Clark junior Talen Haywood received the only red card in the contest in the 55th minute.

In the 77th minute of the game, the River Otters were down by two when Linfield's Derek Rowe took a free kick from deep on the right side. The Wildcat launched a high, powerful ball to the right of the goal. Garan jumped and tipped it away with his fingertips just as a Wildcat jumped in an attempt to head the ball. Immediately following the deflection, the River Otter keeper dove to his left, punching the ball out of play.
