Lewis & Clark hosted their second and final regular-season meet of the season over the weekend at the David and Eldon Fix Track. The River Otters welcomed over 1,000 athletes to the two-day meet with schools from NCAA DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, Junior College and club and masters teams represented.Ā
At the conclusion of Saturday's competition, Lewis & Clark honored their 18 seniors/athletes competing in their final season of track & field:

Men's track & field posted five top-50 marks in program history, as they competed in their final tune-up before the 2026 Northwest Conference Championship Meet.Ā

Junior
Keegan Zaso put together one of the top performances of the weekend in the triple jump. He earned a spot in the Finals of the event and placed fourth of 27 jumpers with a PR mark of 14.16M (46-05.50 Feet). He finished the event as the top jumper from an NCAA institution and it moved him up to 44
thĀ in NCAA DIII this season. Fritz placed eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.81M (45-03.75 Feet).Ā

Zane Bryant led a trio of long jumpers for Lewis & Clark on Saturday. The first year registered a PR mark to crack the top-50 in program history. He placed 21
stĀ out of 45 competitors with a leap of 6.39M (20-11.75 Feet). Sophomore
Kristopher Adams came in 33
rdĀ place with a jump of 6.09M (19-11.75 Feet). Crockett, who was competing in the long jump for the first time in his career, placed 41
stĀ overall with a leap of 5.46M (17-11 Feet).Ā

Cody Strozyk added a third-place showing in the javelin throw on Friday. The first year launched the javelin 52.51M (172-03 Feet) to finish third out of 22 competitors and first among D3 throwers by almost 10 meters.Ā

Baum made the most of his final home meet with two-10 marks. He finished seventh out of 34 student-athletes in the hammer on Friday at Linfield. Baum's best throw traveled 47.07M (154-05 Feet) to place first among D3 throwers. Junior
Liam Stanley placed 23
rdĀ in the event with a heave of 36.28M (119-00 Feet).Ā

Baum also led a trio of Lewis & Clark throwers in the discus on Saturday. He unleashed a throw of 44.64M (146-05 Feet) to place seventh out of 50 throwers. Stanley came in 25

Ewan Reid registered a throw of 30.14M (98-10 Feet) to place 46

In the final throwing event, Baum took 13
thĀ out of 42 competitors in the shot put. Baum recorded a heave of 13.69M (44-11 Feet). Reid posted a PR throw of 10.43M (34-02.75 Feet) to come in 35
thĀ place.Ā

Lahusky posted the top finish for Lewis & Clark on the track. The senior came in fourth out of 57 sprinters in the 400M with a time of 49.54. Lahusky finished first among all NCAA runners and over a second faster than the second D3 runner to cross the line. First year
Forrest Holt added a PR time of 51.05 to place 13

Evan Markelz led a quintet of Lewis & Clark runners in the 1,500M. Markelz finished second in his heat and 12
thĀ out of 93 runners with a PR time of 3:57.47. He was the top-D3 finisher in the event. Junior

thĀ overall and second in his heat with a PR time of 4:01.50. Sophomore
AJ Gibbs crossed the line in 4:09.22 to finish 51

Colin Shimabukuro finished first among six River Otters in the 800M. Shimabukuro registered a PR time of 1:58.14 to place 16

Knox Orchard each registered PR times on Saturday. Widrid finished 22
ndĀ overall with a time of 1:58.89. Orchard crossed the line in 1:59.67 to place 30

th. Naylor nearly won his heat with a huge second 400M, as he placed second in the heat and 71

Gavin Sellers represented Lewis & Clark in the 3,000M Steeplechase. He placed 12

Jaden Mwendapole led a trio of River Otters in the 100M. Mwedanpole posted a time of 11.29 to finish 31
stĀ out of 100. First year
Enzo Murray placed 67
thĀ with a PR time of 11.75. Crockett notched a season-best time of 12.09 to come across in 88
thĀ place.Ā

Plumb was the lone Lewis & Clark competitor in the 5K. He finished 35
thĀ out of 79 runners with a time of 15:53.51.Ā

Lewis & Clark entered three relay teams on Saturday.Ā

The 4x100M Relay team placed fourth out of 11 teams and first among the NWC competitors. The quartet of Fritz, Mwendapole, Lahusky and Bryant combined for a time of 42.45 to beat NWC teams Linfield, Pacific Lutheran and Puget Sound.Ā

Lewis & Clark had two teams compete in the 4x400M Relay. The "A" Team of Shimabukuro, Wu, Widrig and Lahusky finished 10
thĀ out of 18 teams with a time of 3:30.90. The "B" Team of Aasen, Markelz, Orchard and Miller posted a time of 3:41.45 to finish in 12
th.Ā

BY THE NUMBERSĀ
- Zaso's mark in the triple jump (14.16M) moved him past Fritz for fifth all-time in program history. His mark is the best jump by a River Otter since 1980 in the event. He will head into the NWC Championship Meet ranked first in the conference.Ā
- Markelz's PR time in the 1,500M pushed him up to 18thĀ in program history (3:57.47). Miller joined him in the top-50 on Saturday by recording the 37th-best time (4:01.50).Ā
- Bryant moved into 37thĀ place in program history in the long jump (6.39M) on Saturday.Ā
- Shimabukuro cracked the top-50 in the 800M on Saturday with the 46th-fastest time in school history (1:58.14).Ā

Lewis & Clark will travel to Spokane for the 2026 NWC Championship Meet on Saturday and Sunday. The meet will kick off on Saturday at 11 a.m. and there will be a live video feed (FloSports) and live results available for both days.Ā
