Lasconia Carves Out A Spot On D3football.com Team of the Week

Sytyn Lasconia is the third L&C football player to be a 2x D3football.com Team of the Week honoree

PORTLAND, Ore.—For the second time in his career, Lewis & Clark College football sophomore Sytyn Lasconia was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, the website announced Monday night.

Lasconia becomes only the third player in program history to be named to the Team of the Week on two occasions. He joins Louis Baltazar ('12) and Riley Mitchell ('12) as the only two-time honorees in program history. Lasconia earned the award for the first time on Homecoming 2025, when he tied the program record for receiving touchdowns in a single-game (four).

This past Saturday, Lasconia helped Lewis & Clark earn a thrilling 49-35 win over George Fox University on Homecoming. The sophomore wide receiver posted a career-high 247 receiving yards on eight catches and added a touchdown catch. He registered a go-ahead, 57-yard touchdown catch on 4th and 2 from the Lewis & Clark 43-yard line to give the River Otters a 21-14 lead in the second quarter. Lasconia tacked on a career-long, 75-yard reception in the fourth quarter to set up the game-winning touchdown.

Five of Lasconia's eight catches resulted in first downs and he posted four catches of 33 or more yards. The Hawaii native recorded 118 of his 247 receiving yards after the catch. His 247 receiving yards puts him third all-time in program history for a single-game. He trails only Aidan Verba-Hamilton (331 yards) and Nick Bodeman (258 yards).

Lasconia leads the Northwest Conference this season with 43 catches, 1,007 yards and nine touchdowns. He sits first in NCAA DIII with 167.8 receiving yards, second in receiving yards and tied for seventh in receiving touchdowns. The sophomore is just the fifth receiver in program history to post 1,000 yards in a single-season and needs just 65 yards to tie Aaron Schmidt's (1,072) program record for yards in a single-season.

In 16 career games, Lasconia has racked up 87 receptions for 1,667 receiving yards and 20 receiving touchdowns. He ranks 14th in program history in career receiving yards and tied for sixth in receiving touchdowns.

Lewis & Clark will return to action on Saturday at 1 p.m., when they travel to take on NWC Defending Champion Whitworth University.
