PORTLAND, Ore. — The Lewis & Clark College softball and baseball teams are set to open their seasons, but Mother Nature has forced some schedule changes. Softball has postponed one doubleheader and canceled another, while baseball's schedule in Southern California has been adjusted due to rain.

Winter weather in the Portland metro area has postponed softball's home-opening doubleheader against Warner Pacific University. Originally scheduled for Saturday, the games will now be played on Tuesday, March 11, at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Sunday doubleheader against Oregon Tech has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

In Southern California, heavy rain has led to schedule adjustments for baseball's three-game series against Whittier College. The Pioneers and Poets will now play a single game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and a doubleheader on Sunday, with games set for 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
