SALEM, Ore.—Lewis & Clark College men's swimming won eight consecutive events and nine of 11 overall, to earn a dominant 125-65 win over host Willamette University on Friday evening.Â

The Pioneers won the first eight individual events and eight of nine overall, to earn their fourth dual meet win of the season. Juniors
Michael Spicer and
Ezra Billings won two events apiece to lead Lewis & Clark.Â
Â
Spicer earned his first win of the day in a head-to-head matchup in the 200 Fly. He touched the wall in 2:03.96 to beat his Bearcat opponent by 12.39 seconds.Â

He came back and won the eighth and final individual event for Lewis & Clark in the 500 Free. Spicer beat out three other swimmers with a final time of 5:12.77. Senior
Aidan Ringel came in second in the event in 5:17.25.Â

Billings earned his first win of the night in the 50 Free. The junior beat out a field of six swimmers with a winning time of 21.67. Senior
Ian Holmberg took third when he came across in 24.18. Sophomore
Colin Ziegler notched a fourth-place finish with a time of 24.92. Sophomore
Aidan Beatty posted a final time of 27.36.Â

Billings tacked on a win in the 100 Free. He placed first out of six swimmers with a time of 48.77. Junior
Zach Martin came in second overall when he closed in 49.19. First year
Sam LoCurto made it a 1-2-3 Pioneers finish, as the first year touched the wall in 51.12. Beatty swam alone in heat two and finished in 1:00.86.Â

Ringel earned the first win of the night for Lewis & Clark. He beat two Willamette swimmers to finish first with a time of 10:39.25. He finished 5.33 seconds ahead of the top Willamette swimmer.Â

LoCurto beat out four other swimmers to win the 200 Free. He closed in 1:51.66 to barely edge out Martin. Martin took second overall in 1:51.68 in the closest race of the night on the men's side.Â

Senior
Micah Rysavy won the 200 IM. He placed first out of five swimmers with a final time of 2:07.81. Rysavy beat the second-place swimmer by 4.34 seconds. Fellow senior
Isaac Anderson finished third in the event with a time of 2:14.31. First year
Isaiah Frei placed fourth when he registered a mark of 2:14.42.Â

Frei earned a win in the 200 Backstroke. He defeated four other swimmers when he touched the wall in 2:06.72. Rysavy (2:08.29) and Holmberg (2:17.06) finished in second and fourth in the event.Â

Anderson led two Lewis & Clark swimmers in the 200 Breaststroke. He finished second out of four swimmers with a time of 2:23.41. Ziegler came across in third place with a time of 2:31.31.Â

Lewis & Clark earned their ninth and final win of the night in the 400 Free Relay. The Pioneers quartet of Billings, LoCurto, Rysavy and Martin recorded a winning time of 3:20.07 to beat Willamette's relay team by 11.82 seconds.Â

In the first race of the night, Willamette won a head-to-head relay race in the 400 Medley Relay. The Pioneers team of Frei, Anderson, Spicer and Holmberg finished in 3:49.83 to place second.Â
