Men's Swimming Posts 15 All-Conference Honors

Billings, LoCurto, Martin and Spicer all earned multiple All-Conference accolades

HILLSBORO, Ore.—Four Lewis & Clark College men's swimmers combined to earn 15 All-Conference honors at the 2026 Northwest Conference Championship Meet.Ā

Seniors Ezra Billings, Michael Spicer and Zach Martin and sophomore Sam LoCurto all earned All-Conference honors for two relays and posted at least one individual All-Conference performance.Ā

Swimmers who finished first through third in their individual events took home First Team All-Conference honors. Swimmers who placed fourth through eighth, or relay teams who placed second or third, garnered Second Team All-Conference plaudits.

Men's swimming finished second overall in both the 400 and 800 Free Relays to earn Second Team honors in both events. The 400 Free Relay team notched the second-fastest time in school history to place second. The quartet of Billings, Spicer, Martin and LoCurto combined for a time of 3:05.69 to finished 0.72 seconds ahead of the University of Puget Sound. Their time was a season-best mark by over five seconds. In the 800 Free Relay, the foursome shaved off over 11 seconds off their seed time to place second overall. They swam the second-fastest time in school history (6:58.79) to finish 0.64 seconds ahead of third-place Whitman College.Ā

Billings led the River Otters with five All-Conference awards across the three-day meet. The Alaska native finished in the top-two in all three of his individual events to post three First Team All-Conference accolades. He finished third amongst all men's swimmer at the meet with his 54 points as an individual. In two seasons with the River Otters, Billings racked up 10 All-Conference honors, seven First Team All-Conference accolades and five NWC Titles.Ā

He defended his crown in the 100 Free to earn his fifth career NWC Title. Billings notched the third-fastest time in prelims with a mark of 45.45. In the A Final, the senior posted a season-best time of 44.89 to finish first overall by 0.12 seconds. Billings added a second-place finish in the 50 Free and 100 Fly. In the 50 Free, Billings qualified first in prelims when he broke his own program record with a time of 20.27. He posted a time of 20.37 in the A Final to finish second overall. The senior qualified third overall in prelims for the 100 Fly with a time of 50.12. Billings notched a season-best time of 49.35 in the A Final to finish in second place.Ā

Spicer earned his first career, First Team All-Conference award in the 200 Fly. After finishing fourth or fifth in the event in his first three seasons, Spicer moved up the podium to place third overall as a senior. Spicer qualified third overall in the prelims with a time of 1:55.33. In the A Final, the senior swam the fastest time of his career to come in third place. Spicer notched a time of 1:53.79 to beat his PR in the event by 0.11 seconds. His time puts him third all-time in the event. Over the course of his four seasons, Spicer racked up eight All-Conference honors – including fiveĀ as an individual. He earned All-Conference accolades in the 200 Yard Fly in all four seasons.Ā

Martin wrapped up his career with All-Conference performances in the 100 and 200 Free. The senior finished fourth overall in the 200 Free. He qualified fourth in the prelims with a season-best time of 1:44.22. Martin came back in the A Final with a time of 1:44.71 to finish fourth overall. In the 100 Free, he placed seventh in the prelims with a season-best time of 46.90. Martin improved his season-best mark with a time of 46.87 in the A Final to come in seventh place. Martin wraps up his career with 13 All-Conference awards – including four in each of his final two seasons. The senior earned All-Conference accolades in the 100 and 200 Free in all four seasons and was a member of five relay teams that earned All-Conference honors. As a junior, he won the NWC Title as the anchor leg of the 400 Free Relay and earned First Team honors by finishing second in the 200 Free.Ā

LoCurto posted the first individual All-Conference performance of his collegiate career. The sophomore earned a spot in the A Final in the 100 Fly. He placed seventh in the prelims with a career-best time of 50.95. His time moved him into fifth in program history in the event. LoCurto notched a time of 51.06 in the A Final to place seventh overall. In two seasons, LoCurto has racked up five All-Conference performances – including helping the 400 Free Relay finish in first placeĀ as a first year.Ā
