Brett Pierson pitched a career-high 7.2 innings giving up one unearned run on four hits to earn his fourth win of the season in game one of Saturday’s doubleheader against Willamette. Pierson struck out three Bearcats in the outing. He pitched 4.2 innings before Willamette scored the only unearned run in the game. Pierson threw a career-high 120 pitches. He is 3-1 in his last four starts this season and is second on the team with 39 strikeouts.
