Brennen Davis had a massive opening weekend for the Pioneers and help the team start 4-0 for the first time since 2004. Davis went 9-18 on the weekend with three home runs, three walks, two doubles, nine runs, and seven RBI. In his first three at-bats on opening day, Davis went 3-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. He finished the game 3-5 with two runs and a walk. On Saturday, Davis was the offensive hero in game one of a doubleheader with Occidental. He hit a pair of home runs, one a solo shot to right field that gave the Pioneers the lead in the third inning. The second was a three-run bomber that blew the game open in the sixth and gave the Pios a 9-2 lead. Davis finished the weekend against Whittier on Sunday, scoring five runs. He went 3-5 with a home run, two RBI, and a walk.
