Junior Emil Miller won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a photo finish at the Jenn Boyman Memorial Invite on Saturday. Miller ran with the lead pack throughout the race, trailed Oregon Tech’s Braedan Doherty by 10 meters on the final lap, and then overtook him to win by 0.08 seconds in 9:22.60. The time ranks seventh in program history and 16th in NCAA Division III and placed him 13.11 seconds ahead of the next Northwest Conference competitor.
