Shimaura recorded a career-high 40 digs against Pacific. Her 40 digs put her in a tie for fourth in program history for a single match by a Pioneer. She finished the weekend with 51 digs, seven assists, and a service ace. The Pioneers junior libero has played in all 17 matches this season and leads the team in digs (287) and service aces (20). She averages 4.95 digs a set, putting her third in the conference this season. Her 40 digs Friday are the second-most for a match in the NWC and the most in a four-setter. Shimaura’s efforts have helped the Pioneers average 17.03 digs per set, second in the conference. The Pioneers are also in second place for digs in a four-set match from the Pacific match (93).
