Lewis & Clark 1, Pacific 1
(Lewis & Clark 1-11-1, Northwest Conference 1-8-1)
(Pacific 2-4-6, NWC 2-2-6)

HOW IT HAPPENED

After having a goal wiped off the board earlier in the second half, Weinstein snapped men's soccer's six-game losing streak with his team-leading fourth goal of the season.

In net, senior Micaiah Garan made five saves on six shots to earn his fourth collegiate tie.

Pacific controlled the first half of the contest. The Boxers outshot Lewis & Clark 5-1 and opened the scoring in the 41^st minute. The hosts earned a free kick along the far sideline inside the attacking half. The initial cross was headed towards net by Trenton Zimmermann and Cole Affolter beat everyone to the ball and headed it inside the far post to make it 1-0 at 40:38.

The River Otters turned the tide in the second half. They posted five of their six shots and nearly picked up their second win of the season.

Lewis & Clark thought they had tied the game midway through the second half. Junior Kaden Nakamura sent a long throw-in towards the center of the box and Weinstein headed it towards goal. The ball floated towards the back post and sophomore Raff Ladd leaped up and headed it home just before the goalie could get there. The referee waived the goal off due to contact with the keeper.

Weinstein found a way to tie the game at 89:19. Lewis & Clark was pressing for a goal as they sent a slew of bodies forward. Junior Sam Gunderson lofted a cross to the top of the box that was headed away but not cleared by the Boxers. Weinstein headed it back towards goal and sophomore Brody Kennedy raced to the goal line and sent the ball back towards the six-yard box before it could go out for a goal kick. The Boxers once again got a head to the ball but Weinstein read the header perfectly. The senior brought the ball down with his left foot and then sent a low right-footed shot through traffic that beat the diving Pacific keeper.

Pacific managed one final shot, but Garan easily made the save to help Lewis & Clark secure their fourth point of the conference season.
