Buese closed out her sophomore campaign by breaking her own program record in the 10K at the Portland Distance Carnival. Despite extremely warm conditions and having to run alone for the final 5,000 meters, Buese posted a PR time of 36:20.43 to take first place in the 10,000 meters on May 13. She finished the season 23^rd in NCAA Division III in the event – one spot away from qualifying for the NCAA Division III Championship Meet. Buese wraps up her sophomore season as the program record holder for outdoor track & field in the 5K, 10K and the 4x800m relay.
