Kacie Lau went 3-0 this past weekend, including winning the deciding match against the College of Idaho to secure the Pioneers' win. In Saturday’s exhibition match with Highline Community College, Lau teamed up with freshman Yenenesh Cohen to blank their opponents 8-0 at No. 3 doubles. The next day Lau and Cohen won again at No. 3 doubles over a team from the College of Idaho to give the Pioneers a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Lau played No. 5 singles later in the day. After dropping the first set of the match in a tiebreak 7-6 (7-2), she forced a third set by winning the second in a tiebreak 7-6 (7-0). Lau won the deciding set 6-2 and gave the Pios their second win of the season.
