Sophomore Zach Martin broke the 36-year-old program record in the men’s 200 Freestyle by .04 seconds on Saturday at the 2024 Northwest Conference Championship Meet. His time of 1:42.51 was a PR by 0.23 seconds and broke Mike Power’s record from the 1987-88 season. Martin finished fifth in the A finals in the event to earn All-Conference honors. Martin swam the sixth-fastest time in program history in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.56 to place 10th overall. Martin earned his second All-Conference accolade on Sunday with a sixth-place finish in the 100 Free finals, touching the wall in 46.84 seconds. Earlier in the day, he finished fourth overall in the prelims with a PR 46.44 finish.
