Sophomore Kody Uyesugi earned his first two collegiate starts last weekend and notched 28 points while shooting 42.9% (9-21) with four rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead the Pioneers in both Northwest Conference games. Uyesugi scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half against Pacific on Saturday. He led the team in scoring for the second consecutive game, dropping 15 points versus Willamette for his highest point total in NWC play. Uyesugi has averaged 12.5 points per game in the last four home games and posted double-digit points in three of the last four home contests. He made all five of his shots from the free throw line this past weekend and is a perfect 26-26 from the charity stripe this season.
