Peter Ford returns to his alma mater as an assistant coach in the Fall of 2025.

Ford will work as an assistant coach with the cross country and track & field programs. 

He enjoyed a strong four-year career at Lewis & Clark as a member of the cross country and track & field programs. As a senior, he finished a career-best 21st at the Northwest Conference Cross Country Championship and placed 56th at Regionals. He wrapped up his cross country career with the 35th-fastest 8K time in program history. In his Senior spring, he ran the seventh-fastest 5K time in program history and ranked first in the NWC in the event during the regular season. He wrapped up his career 17th in program history in the 10,000M and 28th in the 1,500M and scored points at the track & field championship meet in the 10,000M as both a sophomore and junior. 

During his first season on staff, Lewis & Clark enjoyed a strong distance season with six student-athletes earning All-Conference accolades. Senior Malia Heien matched Buese as one of the five student-athletes to qualify for three Cross Country National Championship Meets in the Fall. Heien (All-Region) and juniors Quinn Higgins and Sam Garcia all took home All-Conference accolades. In the Spring, Heien (800M and 1,500M) and junior Evan Markelz (Men's 5,000M) each won their first career NWC Titles. Junior Emil Miller (3,000M Steeplechase) added a second-place finish and Higgins and senior Miriam Reside added All-Conference honors.
