FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- Lewis & Clark College men's tennis lost 4-3 to Pacific University in Northwest Conference play on Saturday morning at Holce Tennis Courts.

Pacific secured the doubles point by winning two of three matches. Alexander Kinoshita and Steele Toguchi defeated sophomore

Wade McDermott 6-1 at No. 3. Dawson Hose and Jonathan Nguyen followed with a 6-3 win over junior

Spencer Loucks earned the River Otters' lone doubles win, edging Ryley Chang and Joshua Dela Cruz 7-6 (7) at No. 2.
In singles, Hose extended Pacific's lead to 2-0 with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Bishnoi at No. 4. Sigurdsson cut the deficit to 2-1, defeating Dela Cruz 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1. Sutin tied the match at 2-2 with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Nguyen at second singles.
Chang gave Pacific a 3-2 advantage with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 win over McDermott at No. 5. Kinoshita clinched the match for the Boxers with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Wills at third singles, pushing the lead to 4-2. Junior
Bridger Galyardt closed the day with a win at No. 6, rallying past Lucas Fuhrmann 6-7 (5), 6-3, 1-0 (10-4) in a match tiebreak to set the final score at 4-3.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Loucks and Sigurdsson have won three straight matches as a doubles team and improved to 10-1 in NWC play.
- Sutin improved to 9-2 at No. 2 singles and earned his 10th conference win of the season.
