PORTLAND, Ore. -- Lewis & Clark College women's tennis defeated Willamette University 6-1 in a Northwest Conference match Sunday at the L&C Tennis Dome.

Alex Mignogna each earned two wins against the Bearcats.
Lewis & Clark secured the doubles point with wins at all three positions. Makoni and Vianzon opened with a 6-2 victory over Grace O'Steen and Alicia Sola at No. 3. Curry and Mignogna followed with a 6-3 win over Eva Lief and Sofia Spencer at No. 2. Anand and junior
Emma Loucks closed doubles play with a 7-6 (7-5) win over Reese Beyrouty and Alexa de Crinis at No. 1.
Makoni recorded the first singles win, defeating Beyrouty 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 to extend the lead to 2-0. Curry added a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Lief at No. 4, and Anand defeated de Crinis 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 to give Lewis & Clark a 4-0 advantage and clinch the match.
Willamette's Sofia Spencer earned the Bearcats' lone point with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 win over sophomore
Anna English at No. 3.
Mignogna posted a 6-0, 6-2 win over Katrina Briggs at No. 5, and Vianzon finished with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Sola at No. 6 to set the final score.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Curry and Mignogna have won three straight matches at No.2 doubles.
